RE:

Suspension of Workers' Compensation Commission's Mediation Program

The Workers' Compensation Commission is beginning a review of the guidelines surrounding its mediation program.  This review will attempt to resolve issues arising from parties' failure to comply with the program guidelines and misuse of the program.

Therefore, by order of the Chairperson, the Commission's mediation program is being suspended effective immediately.  Mediation sessions that have already been assigned to a judge or that are already scheduled will go forward.  No new mediations will be assigned.

Informal and/or pre-formal settlement discussion hearings will continue to take place as usual.

Any questions may be directed to Terri Miro, Administrative and Managed Care Program Manager, at (860)493-1558 or [email protected].
